Tahoma Guesthouse - Brussels :

take a refreshing break in a city full of character

More spacious and more intimate than a guest house in Brussels
So much more charm than a standard Bed & Breakfast in Brussels...
Less expensive and less anonymous than a hotel in Brussels...

Tahoma Guesthouse is a 55m2 apartment, with kitchen and own bathroom. Do the tourist thing in Brussels, explore at your leisure, settle in to relax or work. A few minutes away from the city centre and major tourist attractions, this is somewhere you can feel at home, with a terrace to laze on and attentive hosts to advise and guide you.

Tahoma Guesthouse gives you the opportunity to stay a while in Brussels... it's for lovers, tourists, friends... or - why not? - people on business.

WHAT

55m2 apartment with fully equipped kitchen, dining area, sleeping area, own bathroom and WC, not forgetting access to a small terrace. The recently completed apartment has been designed primarily for short stay guests, but this doesn't rule out longer stays. It is located on the ground floor to the rear of a private house, in Uccle, in the South of Brussels. Access to the apartment is not totally private: it is via a room used as an office by the occupants of the house (and a reception area for guests). The district has good public transport links with the rest of the city.

Dining / Living Area large wood table, bench, chairs and armchairs.

Kitchen well fitted out with ceramic glass hob, small refrigerator, dishwasher, extractor hood, work surfaces, etc. A full range of kitchen equipment: dishes, pans, plates, glasses, cutlery, percolator, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, electric juicer, electric kettle, microwave, etc.

Sleeping Area separated from the rest of the flat by a wooden screen, with 1 double bed (or 2 single beds if required) with eiderdown(s) and pillows. Bedside tables and lamps. Radio-alarm with socket for MP3 player. A wardrobe. Iron and ironing board.

Bathroom walk-in shower, WC, basin.

Terrace built in exotic wood, the terrace is separated from the rest of the apartment by a large bay window. Bistro style small table and 2 chairs for relaxing, reading, or eating breakfast when the weather is fine. It can also be used as a "smokers corner".

Internet and Television Our WiFi network (including on the terrace) and/or physical Internet connection are available to our guests free of charge. The flat has a Sony TV and cable television (30 European channels).

The City
Find out what Le Guide du Routard and The Lonely Planet say about our city. You can also have a look on the official website for the Brussels Region if you intend to stay a little bit longer.

In the city
The brand new Magritte Museum, the famous Horta Museum, the Town Houses of architect Victor Horta, the Museum of Modern Arts, the Center for Contemporary Art and the Royal Museum of Central Africa are major places of interest. Discover numerous art deco and art nouveau buildings simply by strolling in the streets. If you like Belgian comic-strip art, the Belgian Comic Strip Center is well worth a visit. You will also come across comic-strip murals all over the city. Don't miss the world famous Atomium, created for Expo '58 and the remarkable Grand Place, a Unesco World Heritage Site

Not far from the city
Gent/Gand/Ghent, Antwerpen/Anvers/Antwerp and Brugge/Bruges are all less than an hour away by train or car. You can also easily take in the Lion Hill commemorative monument on the famous Waterloo battlefield. And 35km away, the newly opened Hergé Museum is a vibrant homage to the creator of Tintin.

Moving around in the city
To visit the city and surrounding area you can use local public transport (underground, bus, tramway), as well as trains or bikes.
